In 2025, Vincent De Roeper, a Solutions Engineer with Zayo Europe, was recognised as a finalist for the NEXT GEN AWARD at the World Communication Awards for the communications industry.
This award recognises those who have entered the sector within the last ten years and have already made a standout impact, demonstrating exceptional talent. The judges looked for individuals who shine through innovation, leadership, and meaningful contribution.
Vincent was nominated as a young rising star because of his outstanding contribution and progress while at Zayo Europe.
As a student of the arts, a career path to becoming a Solutions Engineer for fibre infrastructure networks wasn’t clear, but after a chance meeting with an engineering lecturer, it inspired Vincent to complete a Masters in Electrical Engineering. His creative side has blended well with his engineering knowledge, resulting in finding solutions to customers’ problems they didn’t even know they had!
We’re incredibly proud of our Solutions Engineering team at Zayo Europe, and rightly so, they have a wealth of expertise, knowledge, experience and a culture of team work. There hasn’t been the complex customer problem yet they couldn’t solve. In this environment it’s no wonder that young talent, like Vincent, are thriving.
