A Partnership Built to Last
Our relationship with the BOSS OPEN began through Globalways, the Stuttgart-based provider that Zayo Europe acquired as part of our strategic expansion in Germany. As the tournament continues to evolve this year, organisers recognised the need for greater capacity, and a partner who could deliver it at speed.
We moved fast. In April, we finalised a long-term upgrade through to 2030, providing scalable connectivity from 1 to 10 Gbps, precisely when it’s needed most: during the tournament weeks in June. That includes support for live TV broadcasts, real-time sports data, media operations and high-density public Wi-Fi.

Bringing fibre connectivity to the tournament site hasn’t always been straightforward. The location presents logistical challenges, and latency requirements are tight. From initial discussions to final deployment in under two months, we proved that Zayo Europe can move with the pace of live sport.

This partnership is part of Zayo Europe’s broader investment in the region. In October 2024, we announced our collaboration with GasLINE, one of Germany’s leading dark-fibre specialists. Together, we’re expanding our national reach, reinforcing Stuttgart as a strategic hub, and integrating Zayo Europe’s footprint with some of Germany’s most critical digital corridors.
